Carrick Photography donates to the Rhinebeck Science Foundation Spring Gala silent auction

Longtime Hudson Valley resident and Rhinebeck Community Forum editor, Maggie Salamone is happy to present a sampling of her photography “IT’S ALL ABOUT THE LIGHTHOUSE ” for auction at the 2017 – RSF Spring Gala

Rondout Lighthouse

The Rondout Lighthouse is the last of three lighthouses marking the entrance to the Rondout Creek. Still fully operational as a navigational light, the Rondout lighthouse is one of only seven remaining on the Hudson River.

This brick lighthouse, completed and lit in 1915, is accessible only by boat. Owned by the City of Kingston and operated by the Hudson River Maritime Museum, it is available for occasional public tours and for private group tours.

RSF Mission

The Rhinebeck Science Foundation seeks to enhance the Rhinebeck Central School District’s curriculum for grades K-12. Working with teachers, administrators and the school board, we will create and fund programs that use hands-on learning and innovative teaching methods to help students explore their worlds and connect science, math, engineering and technology to their everyday lives.
